Max: In the shade of century-old oaks, you’ll find Indabushe Lodge, a delightful example of spacious farm architecture. Built of huge sandstone blocks, Indabushe was originally the cow shed and stable of Penwarn Farm.
Here you can enjoy traditional country hospitality in rural seclusion. Meals are served in the cosy dining room with a roaring fire and true colonial style food.
Our guests will marvel at the fertile valley of Penwarn with its uninterrupted views of the Drakensberg Mountains. Furnished individually, the seven suites each have a charm of their own. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Penwarn on invigorating hikes in the foothills or take a leisurely picnic on the lawns overlooking the lake.

This family cottage is ideal for groups of up to 4 people. There is a main bedroom downstairs with a double bed and a loft upstairs with an additional 2 single beds. The unit is fully equipped to allow your family to be completely self-sufficient during your getaway. There is a bathroom with shower only and an open-plan kitchen/lounge area with gas stove top only. Kingfisher has its own braai facility and a jungle gym nearby for the kids to play on whilst mum and dad enjoy a sun-downer overlooking the dam.

Kudu is a stand-alone cottage sleeping up to six people. It has mountain views and braai facilities overlooking wetlands and dams. Kudu is fully equipped to cater to your every need during your Drakensberg getaway. There is a Jacuzzi bath in one of the 2 bathrooms and a spacious lounge with a TV offering selected DSTv channels.

This is dormitory style accommodation with enough double bunks to sleep 20 people. There are two bathrooms with showers only. The kitchen area is downstairs and is fully equipped to cater for your group. The Barn is only on offer to large groups of twelve or more, and is particularly popular during sporting events in the area such as the Drak Challenge canoeing race and Sani2Sea cycling event.
